Working at Carver Water as a Water / Wastewater Treatment Operator


Carver Water is seeking a dedicated and experienced water and wastewater treatment operators to oversee and execute our ongoing projects.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of water treatment systems and processes

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Water Quality Tests: Perform daily tests to ensure water meets health and safety standards.

Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks and troubleshoot problems as they arise.

Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and update records to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Chemical Handling: Handle and properly dispose of chemicals used in the treatment process.

Data Recording: Maintain logs of operations, test results, and maintenance actions.

Emergency Response: Respond to system or machinery malfunctions and emergency situations, coordinating with other departments when necessary.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, lab technicians, and other staff to optimize operational procedures.

Training & Development: Keep up-to-date with technology advancements through ongoing training.

Basic Requirements

1. Educational Background: -High School diploma, GED or other Certificate of Competency

2. Relevant Work Experience:

Must possess one of the following State of Florida licenses:

Class "C" Wastewater Operator's License for Operator I;

Class "B" License for Operator II; or

Class "A" License for Operator III.

3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.

• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on problem-solving and conflict resolution.

4. Organizational Skills:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

5. Problem-Solving Ability:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address maintenance issues swiftly and efficiently.

6. Computer Literacy:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Desired Qualities

Any relevant certifications in water treatment or environmental management.
