The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of water treatment systems and processes OR demonstration of mechanical and technical know how AND a proven ability in procurement, supply chain management, and vendor expediting.
Must Haves:
Knowledgeable about procurement from sub vendors and supply chain management.
Well versed in the technical aspects of water treatment equipment, like pumps, valves, piping ,gaskets, to include the specific details about various models and types of each equipment piece in general.
Ability to read 2D/3D drawings
Key Tasks
Create/review and process RFIs and submittals from subs.
Do quantity takeoffs and create exhibits for the operations team.
Document controlling including Create submittal registries, procurement and close-out logs and support the team in the close-out process.
Be committed to streamlined processes and successful project execution.
As a Procurement Specialist, excel in sourcing top-notch materials while optimizing costs.
Be Proficient in SAP, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation, and enhance procurement efficiency.

1. Educational Background: Associate’s degree
2. Relevant Work Experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in technical procurement, preferably in water treatment, environmental services, or a related industry.
3. Technical Knowledge and Skills:
• Basic understanding of water treatment systems and processes OR demonstration of mechanical and technical know how.
• Familiarity with maintenance procedures and standards in the water treatment industry.
4. Project Management Skills:
• Proven ability in scheduling, planning, and managing projects.
• Competency in using project management software and tools.
5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar.
Any relevant certifications in water treatment or environmental management.
